# Billing & quota

Terradium is a flat monthly subscription that includes a fixed number of
generations per billing period. This page explains the quota, your subscription,
and where to manage it.

## Generation quota

Your plan includes **30 generations per billing period**. What counts as a
generation:

- **Article generation** — one credit per article.
- **AI featured image** — one credit per generated image.

What's **free**: manual edits, regenerating an article, retrying a failed
generation, and uploading your own images.

## AI Visibility quota

Visibility sampling has its own separate allowance. On the $29 plan:

| | |
| --- | --- |
| Tracked questions | 15 |
| Sampling cadence | weekly |
| Answer engines per run | 3 of 4 |
| Runs per question | 1 |
| Sample runs per billing period | 250 |

A **sample run** is one question asked of one engine once, so 15 questions × 3
engines × 1 run is 45 runs a cycle. Both meters — generations and sample runs —
appear under **Settings → Billing** and reset at the start of each billing
period.

These are hard limits rather than defaults you can dial past: a setting outside
your plan is refused with a message naming the limit. Need more questions or
daily sampling? Email **company@kugie.app**.

Your usage meter — used, remaining, and the reset date — appears on the **New
content** screen and under **Settings → Billing**. When you're close to the limit
the meter turns amber, then red. You can also get
[notified](/docs/notifications) as you approach or hit the limit.

## Subscription

The **Billing** card shows your subscription status — **Active**, **Trialing**,
**Cancels at period end**, or **Not subscribed** — along with your trial end or
renewal date.

You need an active subscription to generate content. If you're not subscribed,
the card shows a **Subscribe** button that takes you to checkout.

## Manage or cancel

For an active subscription:

- **Manage** opens the billing portal, where you can update payment details.
- **Cancel subscription** stops the renewal. Your access stays active until the
end of the current period, then won't renew — you'll be asked to confirm.

## Payment history

Under **Settings → Billing**, the **Payment history** card lists your past
payments with their amount, date, and status. If you haven't been charged yet,
it shows an empty state.
