Featured images
Every article can have a featured image — the cover shown at the top of the post and used for social sharing. Upload your own, or have Terradium generate one in your brand style.
Upload an image
On a finished article, open the featured-image area and choose Upload:
- Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, or WebP.
- Maximum size: 500 KB — kept small on purpose for fast page loads and clean social previews.
Uploads are free and don't touch your generation quota. You can Remove or replace the image at any time.
Generate with AI
If the project has AI featured images enabled and an image style configured, you'll also see Generate with AI. Terradium creates a cover image that matches your configured style, and you can Regenerate if you want a different take.
AI image generation consumes one generation from your monthly quota (uploads don't). If you don't see the option, enable it in project settings → AI featured images.
Image style
The image style tells the generator how images should look. You set it once (in the new-project wizard or project settings) from a few simple choices:
- Medium — photographic, stock photo, 3D, flat illustration, or line art.
- Mood — vibrant, muted, monochrome, or pastel.
- Subject treatment — literal, abstract, or metaphorical.
- Brand cues — an optional note for colors or motifs to lean on.
Turn on auto-generate to have an image created automatically as soon as each article finishes.
Quota & limits
- Uploaded images: free, max 500 KB, JPEG/PNG/WebP.
- AI-generated images: one generation credit each, in your brand style.
See Billing & quota for how credits work.
